Showing an American Saddlebred or Half American Saddlebred?

The American Saddlebred Horse and Breeders Association (ASHBA) offers Sport Horse High Point Awards for horses registered with the ASHBA or with the Half American Saddlebred Registry (HASRA).

Sport Horse Professionals

The Sport Horse Committee of the American Saddlebred Horse and Breeders Association (ASHBA), in conjunction with the Charter Club Council, is proud to announce an initiative to identify professionals who are interested and available for assistance in evaluating American Saddlebreds and Half American Saddlebreds for the Sport Horse discipline. Along with identification of sport horses, marketing those individuals is also a major part of this committee. Training, coaching, and instructing by these individuals is a key component to the industry as well.

How to Get Involved

The individuals on this list have provided their contact information to the American Saddlebred Horse and Breeders Association (ASHBA). Those interested in purchasing, evaluating or training an American Saddlebred for participation in the Sport Horse Disciplines may contact them directly to enlist their services. The list is divided by State and includes the discipline(s) that individuals have indicated they would like listed with their contact information. The information is listed merely as a service to those interested in the use of the American Saddlebred in the Sport Horse Disciplines.

Please complete the form if you would like to have your name added to this list.

American Saddlebred Select

American Saddlebred Select strives to acknowledge and honor the achievements of registered American Saddlebred and Half Saddlebred horses in all recognized competitive events. Points are earned at competitions approved by an organization regarded as the national or international sanctioning group for that equine activity in divisions recognized by that organization.

Horses enrolled in the program earn points toward three levels of achievement: bronze, silver and gold. There are four different sections of competition where points may be accrued, dressage, eventing, carriage/combined driving and endurance/competitive trail riding.

Each level of achievement is distinguished with a certificate and noted in the horse's permanent ASHBA file.

For more information please review the American Saddlebred Select Rules, and download the form to apply for the program.
